About This Access Site
Claremore Lake Park offers a designated boat ramp for launching kayaks, canoes, and small motorized vessels on Claremore Lake, a scenic reservoir created by damming Dog Creek in 1929. The ramp is located at the Lake Ranger Office in Claremore. Note that boats must be launched and retrieved only at this official ramp location. Electric trolling motors are permitted, and metal boats must have at least two air compartments with fire extinguishers required for all motorized vessels.

The park provides excellent amenities for paddlers and anglers, including fishing docks, two dedicated fishing areas (one with heated and air-conditioned shelter), and picnic facilities. The lake is a calm-water destination ideal for recreational paddling and fishing. Duck hunting is also available seasonally for those who secure permits through the draw system. Whether you're looking for a leisurely paddle, fishing opportunity, or family outing, Claremore Lake Park serves as a well-developed, accessible water access point in Rogers County.
