Clear Lake

Clear Lake's WDFW public access on the northwest shore offers a convenient year-round launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters. The site features a paved boat ramp, restroom facilities, and ample parking, with additional gravel parking available across the street. The lake itself supports healthy populations of largemouth and smallmouth bass, making it a popular destination for anglers and recreational paddlers alike.

The surrounding area provides excellent opportunities for exploration and wildlife viewing. Clear Lake sits near Padilla Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve, which encompasses over 11,000 acres of diverse habitats including seagrass meadows, tidal flats, salt marshes, and upland forests. Bank anglers should note that fishing from shore is limited to the area immediately surrounding the public boat launch on the south end of the lake. This is a well-maintained, accessible facility suitable for paddlers of all skill levels.
