Clear Lake

Clear Lake offers a convenient county-owned boat ramp on the southeast shore near Dalton in Otter Tail County. The access features a single cement boat ramp suitable for launching kayaks, canoes, and small motorboats. An 84-foot handicapped-accessible fishing pier is located nearby, providing an alternative access point for anglers and a good spot to scout conditions before paddling.

This 652-acre lake is relatively shallow, with a maximum depth of 8 feet, making it ideal for recreational paddling and fishing. Paddlers should note the modest size and be prepared for wind exposure on the open water. The surrounding area includes wildlife habitat managed by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and proximity to the Fergus Falls Wetland Management District, with several other lakes nearby for exploration.
