About This Access Site
Wonder Cove is a public boat ramp providing access to the West Branch Codorus Creek and Lake Marburg in Codorus State Park near Parkville. The concrete ramp is approximately 24 feet wide with a gradual slope, making it suitable for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorboats. This location is ideal for paddlers looking to explore Codorus Creek as it flows into the 1,275-acre Lake Marburg, which offers 26 miles of shoreline for extended paddling and fishing opportunities.

Lake Marburg is a popular warmwater fishery and a designated rest stop for migrating waterfowl and shorebirds, making it excellent for nature-focused paddling. The park's 3,500-acre setting in rolling terrain provides scenic views throughout the season. Note that motorboats must display current registration, and while all seven public boat launches around the lake welcome recreational users, the campground launch is reserved for registered campers only. Consider visiting during off-peak hours for a more peaceful paddling experience.
