About This Access Site
Located on the north shore of 750-acre Coffee Mill Lake in Caddo National Grassland near Telephone, the Coffee Mill Recreation Area offers a paved boat ramp for easy water access. The facility is situated within a full-service campground that was originally developed in 1968, with significant upgrades completed in the early 1990s. This is an excellent access point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats looking to explore the scenic lake environment.

The recreation area provides convenient amenities including picnic spots, campsites, a fishing pier, and the paved launch ramp. The campground operates year-round and operates on a first-come, first-served basis—visitors must physically arrive to claim a site and pay via QR code through the Recreation.gov mobile app (if available). To reach the facility from Honey Grove, Texas, follow FM 100 north for 12 miles to FM 409, turn west for 5 miles, and look for the entrance on your left.

Coffee Mill Campgrouns has 13 campsites and is open year-round. There is boat access to the 750 acre Coffee Mill Lake and a new fishing pier.
Facilities
Located on the north shore of the 750-acre Coffee Mill Lake, Coffee Mill Recreation Area was completed in 1968 with additional major construction done by volunteers in the early 1990s. The lake was built in the 1930s and provides many recreation opportunities.
