About This Access Site
Coho Resort offers a boat ramp providing access to the Strait of Juan de Fuca near Sekiu, in Marine Area 5. The facility is located on Clallam Bay, a relatively protected, shallow-water area suitable for kayaking, canoeing, and recreational boating. The bay's calm conditions make it accessible for various paddlers, including stand-up paddleboarders. To reach the ramp from Highway 112 (Milepost 57), turn north onto Freshwater Bay Road and follow it approximately 2.7 miles to the county park and boat ramp.

**Important Caution:** The boat landing itself is extremely dangerous and should be approached with care. This is a boat-access-only site with no public upland access to the beach. Paddlers should be prepared for exposed water conditions typical of the Strait of Juan de Fuca and should verify current marine forecasts and tide conditions before launching. The facility is primarily a private marina resort, so confirm availability and any access requirements before visiting. The protected waters of Clallam Bay are generally calmer than open Strait waters, making it a suitable launch point for exploring the local marine area.
