About This Access Site
The Coles Ferry boat launch provides easy access to the Cumberland River and Old Hickory Lake, a popular recreation destination in Tennessee. Situated along the picturesque river, this launch offers a convenient starting point for boaters, kayakers, and canoeists looking to explore the 22,500-acre reservoir.

Old Hickory Lake is a man-made lake created by the Old Hickory Lock and Dam on the Cumberland River. The lake offers a serene setting for a variety of water activities, including fishing, sailing, and other recreational pursuits. Forty-four public boat access sites are available for use with no fees, and the Coles Ferry launch is one of these access points.

While the official hours and fees for this specific launch are not provided, the broader Cages Bend Campground managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is nearby and offers campers the opportunity to enjoy the scenic surroundings of Old Hickory Lake. Visitors are encouraged to check the current conditions and regulations before launching their watercraft at Coles Ferry.
