Coleto Creek Park, operated by the Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority, is the primary public access point to Coleto Creek Reservoir in Goliad County. The facility features a well-maintained four-lane improved boat ramp that accommodates various watercraft, making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The park is located just north of US Highway 59 and offers convenient access to a scenic 1.5-mile hiking path, fishing pier, and picnic areas.
**Important restrictions apply:** boats with above-water exhaust (including airboats and jet boats) are prohibited, and all boaters must maintain at least 150 feet of distance from Bird Island due to wildlife protection regulations. The reservoir is popular for fishing, particularly for largemouth bass, and maps are available at the park headquarters and local bait shop. Additional amenities include restrooms, camping facilities, and a designated swimming area, making this a full-service park for a day outing or extended visit.
