The Trujillo Meadows Boat Ramp provides access to the 69-acre Trujillo Meadows Reservoir on the Rio de los Pinos in Colorado's Rio Grande National Forest. This is a popular spot for anglers, with the reservoir stocked with brown, rainbow, and brook trout.
The boat ramp is well-maintained, with a concrete launch and adjacent parking lot. Small motorized and non-motorized boats are permitted, but the reservoir is a no-wake zone, making it ideal for kayaks, canoes, and other small craft. Paddlers can explore the scenic reservoir and the upper reaches of the Rio de los Pinos, taking in the surrounding mountain vistas.
To reach the Trujillo Meadows Boat Ramp, travel 35 miles north from Antonito, Colorado on CO Route 17 to Cumbres Pass, then turn right (north) onto Forest Road 118 and follow it for four miles to the reservoir. This remote location offers a peaceful, uncrowded boating and fishing experience in the heart of the Rocky Mountains.
