Collier Point Park is a six-acre waterfront facility offering boat ramp access to the Providence River and Providence Harbor. Located in Providence off Allens Avenue (near the I-195 bridges), the park provides ample parking and is well-suited for kayakers, canoeists, and other small watercraft launching into the estuary. The site features fishing piers in addition to the boat ramp, making it a popular spot for various water activities.
The park was designed by William Warner Architects and is maintained by Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management. This is a non-reservable, day-use access point with no visitor facilities listed. For specific information about hours of operation, current conditions, or any seasonal closures, contact the nearby Old Slater Mill Visitor Center at (401) 725-8638. The Providence River in this area is a tidal estuary suitable for paddlers of all skill levels, though users should be aware of tidal currents typical of harbor environments.
The Visitor Information Center at Old Slater Mill is operated seasonally. Please see active exceptions to ensure that the visitor contact station is open for your visit.
