Located in Clarkson near Grayson County, the Conoloway boat ramp provides access to Nolin River Lake, a popular 2,100+ acre reservoir known for excellent recreational opportunities and one of Kentucky's lowest drowning rates. The ramp is reached via KY 88 from Peonia, making it a convenient launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters exploring the lake. The surrounding area offers scenic rolling hills and proximity to Mammoth Cave National Park for those interested in combined water and land-based recreation.
Beyond the main ramp, paddlers will find additional access options in the area. Bank access is available at Nolin River Lake State Park, and a new hiking trail leading to a bank access area near Conoloway was under development. For those interested in river paddling below the dam, the Tailwater Day Use area on the Nolin River offers a boat ramp, restrooms, playgrounds, and picnic facilities.
