About This Access Site
Converse Bay is a public boat ramp providing access to the northern section of Toledo Bend Reservoir on the Sabine River in rural Sabine Parish. Managed by the Sabine River Authority, this 111-acre park offers a designated launch facility with approximately 30 parking spaces and a small open pavilion for gatherings. The site is located at the intersection of Louisiana Highways 191 and 174, about 8 miles west of Zwolle.

The ramp is usable when water levels reach 167 msl (mean sea level). This is a remote location with minimal facilities—there are no amenities like restrooms or concessions—so plan accordingly. The site provides shoreline access to the open water of this large reservoir, making it suitable for kayaking, canoeing, and motorized boating. Primitive camping is no longer permitted at the park.
