About This Access Site
Cook Park in Tigard provides convenient public access to the Tualatin River via a well-maintained boat ramp and dock facility. The hard-surface ramp features a wooden structure with a small lip on the side and connects to a dock for easy launching and landing of kayaks, canoes, and small boats. Accessible parking is available near the launch area, with a curb cut for easier loading. To reach the ramp, follow SE Rood Bridge Road south and turn right at the park entrance, then continue downhill past the Annex and River House buildings to the parking area.

The site offers a good starting point for exploring the Tualatin River, with seasonal rental options available through Tualatin Riverkeepers (Memorial Day to Labor Day, 9 AM–3 PM) if you don't have your own equipment. The park itself is part of a larger recreation area with additional amenities including sports fields, playgrounds, and a dog park. Adjacent to the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge, this location provides access to a scenic stretch of river popular with local paddlers.
