The Coquille Boat Ramp in Coquille, Oregon offers convenient access to the lower Coquille River near its mouth along the southern Oregon coast. This single-lane paved ramp features seasonal docks during summer and fall months and has ample parking suitable for vehicles and trailers of all sizes, though the lot can fill quickly during peak Chinook salmon season. The ramp is located on the north side of Fishtrap-Arago Road, just after crossing Highway 42 S over the Coquille River.
This access point is ideal for kayakers, canoeists, and anglers looking to explore the lower river and its surrounding estuary ecosystem. From here, paddlers can access the Coquille River proper as well as nearby Fahy Creek. The site's proximity to the Bandon Marsh National Wildlife Refuge and South Slough National Estuarine Research Reserve makes it an excellent starting point for those interested in wildlife viewing and estuarine paddling. Additional boat ramps nearby—including Rocky Point County Park upstream and Bullard's Beach State Park—offer alternative access points for exploring different sections of this productive coastal river.
