About This Access Site
Corbin's Island Recreation Area offers a public boat ramp on the Raystown Branch of the Juniata River, located just downstream from Raystown Dam in Huntingdon County. The ramp accommodates kayaks, canoes, small fishing boats, and tubes, making it a convenient launch point for paddlers exploring this section of river. The site is easily accessible via US Route 22—follow Route 22 eastbound from Huntingdon, turn right onto Point Road (just past the Giant Food Store), and continue approximately 6.3 miles to the access on your left.

The recreation area includes picnic facilities and serves as a jumping-off point for floating and fishing trips on the Raystown Branch. Note that this stretch of river is relatively remote downstream, so paddlers should plan shuttle logistics in advance if doing multi-day trips. For facility questions, contact 814-658-3405. Nearby camping options and the scenic Raystown Lake (Pennsylvania's largest entirely in-state lake) are within short driving distance if you want to combine your paddling trip with additional recreation.
