Corrick's River Bend is a boat ramp access site on the Blackfoot River near Sunset in Missoula County, offering a convenient launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and anglers. The site includes parking and improved access to the river. Note that two campsites at this location are designated as float-in-only, meaning they're closed to motorized traffic. Paddlers should be aware of the Blackfoot Recreation Corridor Landowners' Agreement, which permits daytime use of banks up to 50 feet beyond the high-water mark, but prohibits camping outside established sites.
The Blackfoot River in this area offers scenic paddling through western Montana's forested landscape. This is a popular section for both day floats and multi-day trips, with established fishing access sites providing camping opportunities along the corridor. Before heading out, check current water conditions and flow levels, as the Blackfoot's character changes seasonally. The nearby Garnet Recreation Management Area and extensive winter trail system make this a great base for exploring the broader region beyond the river.
