Located on the south shore of Cottonwood Springs Lake near the dam, this boat ramp provides access to a scenic recreation area just 5 miles west of Hot Springs on U.S. Highway 18. From town, head 5 miles west on US-18, then 2 miles north on CR-17. The single-lane ramp has a parking area accommodating 20-30 boats and trailers, making it suitable for small to medium-sized watercraft.
**Important restrictions:** The ramp is steep, which limits the size of boats that can be launched, and gasoline motors are not permitted on Cottonwood Springs Lake. This makes it an excellent destination for kayakers, canoeists, and electric motor boaters seeking a quieter paddling experience. Three reservable campgrounds are within 10 miles (Cold Brook, Elk Mountain, and Cottonwood Springs), offering convenient overnight options for paddling trips. Wind Cave National Park is also nearby for additional recreation opportunities in the area.
