Council Grove Marina provides boat ramp access to Council Grove Lake on the Neosho River in Morris County, Kansas. The facility features two boat ramps and handicap-accessible sidewalks, making it a convenient launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The lake itself offers a mix of steep rocky shoreline and shallow mudflat areas, with the Neosho River and Munkers Creek feeding into the reservoir from opposite sides.
The Neosho River is a major waterway—the 8th order stream drains 12,464 square miles and flows an average of 10,558 cubic feet per second.
