Located in Cove, Chambers County, near Baytown, the Cove Boat Ramp provides excellent access to Cotton Lake and the surrounding bayou system. The facility features two concrete boat ramps, ample parking for both vehicles and boat trailers, and full amenities including restrooms, fuel (both diesel and unleaded), and a dock/pier. Boat rentals are available through the on-site concessionaire, making this a convenient option for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters.
The Cotton Lake Recreation Area offers more than just day-use access. Seven campsites are available by reservation—campsites 1-4 accommodate RVs, trailers, and tents, while campsites 5-7 are tent-only. The area features walking paths and is well-suited for exploring the bayous south of the ramp. Nearby Wallisville Lake offers additional paddling opportunities in the region. Access is straightforward from Houston via I-10 East to the Cove exit (803).
