About This Access Site
Cove Park is a 5-acre public facility in Ingleside offering two free, lighted boat ramps with direct access to LaQuinta Channel and Corpus Christi Bay. The ramps face west, providing good protection from the prevailing southeast winds common to South Texas. This location serves as an excellent launching point for exploring the northern reaches of Corpus Christi Bay and is conveniently positioned near both Estes Flats and the Corpus Christi Ship Channel.
The facility can accommodate various vessel sizes, though boat type restrictions may apply during low water levels. The South ramp is the smaller and less-trafficked option, making it ideal for paddlers seeking quieter access. From here, kayakers and canoeists can paddle to nearby destinations including Redfish Bay and access points to the Mission-Aransas National Estuarine Research Reserve, which encompasses a rich network of wetland and marine environments in the area.
