The Cox Creek Landing Area provides convenient boat access to the Caddo River in Clark County, Arkansas. This is a public, non-reservable access point with a 14-foot wide concrete boat ramp. The site has parking for around 40 vehicles and a portable restroom.
The Caddo River is a large, headwater stream with an average flow of over 800 cubic feet per second. Spanning over 80 miles, the river drops nearly 1,200 feet from its source to its mouth, making for a scenic and relatively swift-moving waterway, especially in this upper section. Kayakers, canoeists, and small motorized boats can all readily access the river at this location.
Nearby, DeGray Lake offers additional recreational opportunities, including camping, hiking, and fishing. With its central location in the Ouachita Mountains, the Cox Creek Landing Area provides a convenient gateway to explore this beautiful corner of Arkansas by water.
