About This Access Site
The Crane Lake East access site is located at the Crane Lake Visitor Center in the town of Crane Lake, about 4.5 hours north of Minneapolis and 2.5 hours from Duluth via US-53 North and Highway 23 East. This is one of three public boat ramps serving Crane Lake and provides convenient access to the lake and Voyageurs National Park. Parking is available for $5 per day, which includes use of the launch ramp.

The visitor center facility itself offers restrooms, an information desk, and exhibits about Voyageurs National Park. For additional services, the adjacent Crane Lake Voyageur RV Park and Campground provides lodging and camping options. The area offers opportunities for kayaking, canoeing, and boating, with various locally-owned accommodations and boat rental options available in town to support your water activities.
