Crane Lake (W) State Water Access Site

Located in the town of Crane Lake in northeastern Minnesota, this boat ramp provides access to Crane Lake, a large water body in the Voyageurs National Park region. The Crane Lake Visitor Center is situated nearby, offering information, exhibits, and facilities for visitors planning water-based activities. The access point is approximately 4.5 hours from Minneapolis and 2.5 hours from Duluth via US-53 North and County Highway 23 East.

This is a day-use access area with a parking fee of $5 per day, which includes launch ramp privileges. The site is one of three boat ramps within Crane Lake's city limits, making it a convenient option for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats looking to explore the lake. While the visitor center itself is not ADA accessible, the area serves as a gateway to water recreation and outdoor adventures in and around Voyageurs National Park.
