About This Access Site
Crawford's Landing is a concrete boat ramp located on the Pearl River near Slidell, Louisiana, approximately 6 miles east of town off Old Highway 11. The facility includes ample parking and is part of the Pearl River Wildlife Management Area, making it a convenient access point for paddlers and boaters exploring this major river system. Camping is available at the adjacent Pearl River Wildlife Management Area for those planning extended trips.

The Pearl River is a substantial waterway—a major river system spanning 435 miles with significant flow averaging over 13,000 cubic feet per second. Paddlers should be prepared for moderate current conditions (average velocity of 3.71 ft/s) and the characteristics of a large, flowing river system. The area is popular for day-use boating, fishing, and hunting, and the site serves as a launch point for Honey Island Swamp Tours. The Honey Island Swamp and Big Branch Marsh National Wildlife Refuge nearby offer scenic paddling opportunities for those interested in wildlife viewing.
