About This Access Site
Crooked Lake's public boat ramp in Clare County offers a developed concrete access point ideal for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters exploring this inland lake. The site features parking, a vault toilet, and is managed in coordination with Petoskey State Park. The launch's strategic location makes it an excellent starting point for paddlers looking to explore between Crooked and Burt Lakes, with access to the mouth of the Crooked River across the lake.

The surrounding watershed features flat-to-gently-rolling terrain with sandy soils, creating scenic paddling conditions typical of Michigan's inland lake system. Please note the site is closed from 11 pm to 4 am, and swimming and wading are not permitted at the launch area. For specific questions about amenities, conditions, or current access details, contact Petoskey State Park.
