About This Access Site
C.T. Beach Picnic Area offers a day-use boat launch on the scenic Hills Creek Arm of Hills Creek Reservoir, a 2,735-acre lake set in the rugged Willamette National Forest. Located 5.4 miles southeast of Oakridge via Highway 58 and Hills Creek Road, this is a straightforward access point for kayakers, canoeists, and boaters launching into the reservoir's 44 miles of forested shoreline.

The facility is basic but functional, with a boat ramp, two picnic tables, and one fire ring. There is no designated swimming area and no warning buoys for boaters, so exercise caution when navigating. Be aware that strong upslope winds can occur off the reservoir, especially during summer months. This is a first-come, first-served site with no reservations required. Nearby camping options include Sand Prairie Campground (reservable) and Blue Pool Campground, both within 10 miles. For current water levels, boating regulations, and safety information, consult the Oregon State Marine Board website.
