Cub Lake

**Location & Facilities**
Cub Lake is a 69-acre lake located in Kalkaska County in northern Michigan. The Michigan DNR-managed boating access site is situated at the northeast end of the lake's main basin and offers paved concrete launching facilities with 10 parking spaces, making it suitable for small to medium-sized watercraft. The site includes a public restroom and one pier for convenient access.

**Conditions for Paddlers & Boaters**
With a maximum depth of 43 feet, Cub Lake provides adequate water depth for kayaking, canoeing, and small motorboats throughout most seasons. The lake's modest size makes it manageable for paddlers of varying skill levels, though you should check current wind and weather conditions before launching. The paved ramp and dedicated parking make this a straightforward access point for day trips and recreational paddling.
