**Location & Access**
Curtis Creek Road Boat Ramp is located in the southwest section of Milford Lake near Junction City in Geary County, Kansas. This two-lane concrete ramp provides convenient launch access to both the Republican River and Milford Lake, Kansas's largest man-made reservoir. The facility includes a dock and gravel parking area, making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and small to medium motorboats. The site is easily accessible from I-70 (approximately 65 miles west of Topeka).
**What to Expect**
The Republican River is a large, flowing waterway (Stream Order 7) with an average flow of 1,048 cubic feet per second and a moderate gradient of 4.8 feet per mile. Paddlers should be prepared for currents averaging 4.8 feet per second. From this ramp, you can access both upstream river paddling and the expansive 15,700-acre Milford Lake, which offers 163 miles of shoreline for exploration. A playground is also available on-site for added convenience.
