About This Access Site
**Overview & Access**
Dale Walbourn is a public boat ramp providing access to Deer Creek in Alliance, Stark County. This site offers a free launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters. Note that Deer Creek has an electric motor only restriction, making it ideal for paddlers and electric boaters seeking a quieter water experience.

**What to Expect**
Be aware that the existing ramp has a gravel surface and shallow approach, which can be challenging during low water conditions. Stark County Parks has indicated plans for ramp and parking lot improvements, so conditions may change. Despite ramp conditions, Deer Creek is known for excellent fishing with abundant fish populations. The reservoir supports two launch ramps total, providing alternatives if needed.

**Nearby Amenities**
Paddlers looking for overnight accommodations will find two reservable campgrounds within 10 miles: Mill Creek Campground (with dump station and showers) and Mill Creek Camping near Berlin Lake. The surrounding Stark County Parks system offers additional recreation areas including Berlin Lake and access to Michael J. Kirwan Lake/West Branch State Park.
