**Location & Access:** This boat ramp is located in Buckhorn, Perry County, on the Middle Fork Kentucky River at Buckhorn Lake. To reach the site, take KY 15 north of Hazard, turn left on KY 28 toward Buckhorn, then left on Highway 1387 to the ramp. The site is situated within Buckhorn Lake State Park in the rugged Cumberland Plateau region of eastern Kentucky's Appalachian Mountains.
**Facilities & Services:** The ramp provides access to both Buckhorn Lake and the tailwater area below the dam. Restrooms and a picnic area are available approximately 1/4 mile away at the tailwater area. Two reservable campgrounds are located within 10 miles: Trace Branch Campground and Buckhorn Campground (camping season runs April 1 through October). **Note:** It's recommended to call ahead at (606) 398-7251 to confirm the ramp is open, particularly outside peak season.
**Paddling Considerations:** Buckhorn Lake offers a scenic reservoir setting in a mountainous landscape. Paddlers should be aware that water levels and conditions may be affected by dam operations.
