The Dam Site boat ramp provides access to Pomona Lake's 4,000 acres via Hundred and Ten Mile Creek in Vassar, Osage County. This is a convenient launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters looking to explore the scenic lake, which is situated near the historic Santa Fe Trail and is known for its abundant wildlife. The site is located approximately 24 miles south of Topeka on US 75, making it accessible for day trips and extended paddling adventures.
For boaters planning to use this access point, note that Pomona Lake offers multiple launch facilities around the lake. The Management Park Boat Launch Ramp, located in the southeast corner off S Pomona Dam Road, features a two-lane concrete ramp with docking and paved parking. If you're interested in camping, Cedar Park on the north side of the lake offers year-round free primitive camping with eight campsites and a rock-based ramp.
