About This Access Site
Located on the southwest side of Damariscotta Lake in Jefferson, this state-maintained concrete-slab boat ramp provides convenient access for both trailered boats and paddlers. The ramp features ample parking and is easily accessed off Route 213, making it a straightforward launch point for exploring the lake.

Damariscotta Lake offers diverse paddling opportunities with multiple embayments to explore, including a notable narrows where three embayments converge. Kayakers and canoeists will find the lake accessible from several points, including this ramp and a beach access at Damariscotta Lake State Park, also in Jefferson. The lake welcomes day-use paddlers and boaters, making it suitable for recreational outings of varying skill levels. A smaller alternative ramp is available on Vannah Road in Nobleboro if needed. Local fishing supply shops in nearby Damariscotta can provide any last-minute gear or local knowledge about water conditions.
