Danzig Dam

Located just north of I-94 Exit 120 near New Salem, Danzig Dam offers a convenient public boat ramp with dock access to a 133-acre impoundment in Morton County. The ramp facilities include a picnic area and primitive camping, making it a good base for multi-day paddling trips. A vault toilet is available on-site.

Danzig Dam is a shallow water body with a maximum depth of 11 feet and average depth of about 4.5 feet, making it suitable for kayaks and canoes but requiring attention to underwater obstructions. The lake is known for a quiet, secluded atmosphere—popular for fishing (northern pike, walleye, perch, and bluegill).
