David H. Godby Boat Ramp provides full-service access to Fishing Creek on Lake Cumberland, a 100-mile-long reservoir created by Wolf Creek Dam. Located off Slate Branch Road near Somerset, this ramp features a guest float dock, making it convenient for boarding and launching kayaks, canoes, and larger boats. The ramp is easily accessible from Highway 80 West—simply take the right fork toward Slate Branch Road and follow directions down to the water.

Lake Cumberland offers excellent paddling opportunities with its expansive calm waters ideal for recreational paddling, fishing, and exploring. Three nearby campgrounds—Fishing Creek Campground, Fall Creek Campground, and Cumberland Point Campground—all offer reservable sites with full amenities and boat access, making it easy to plan a multi-day trip.
