The Dawson Springs boat ramp is a single-lane concrete launch located in Riverside Park at the southern end of Dawson Springs, just off Highway 62. A semi-large gravel parking lot is available at the top of the ramp, providing convenient access for launching kayaks, canoes, and small boats. This is a free, year-round public access point that serves as an excellent starting point for exploring the Tradewater River.
The Tradewater River in this area offers a scenic paddling experience, with notable natural landmarks including the Devil's Dining Table, Chalk Cliffs, and Lovers Leap visible along the route downstream. The site is conveniently located near Tradewater Kayaking, which provides equipment rentals and shuttle services for paddlers exploring the 7-mile span around Dawson Springs. This makes it an ideal location for both day trips and longer paddling excursions on the river.
