Daybreak Park offers a boat ramp on the North Fork Lewis River (also called East Fork Lewis River locally) located just northeast of Battle Ground, Washington, near Cherry Grove. The 77.3-acre park features a boat launch on the south side of Daybreak Bridge, along with picnic areas, grills, and limited river access for swimming and fishing. The river splits around a small island in this area, providing scenic paddling conditions.
**Current Status & Practical Information:** Please note that the boat ramp is currently open for **take-outs only** due to ongoing work. Paddlers launching upstream will need to use this facility as their exit point. If you plan to re-enter the river downstream, the closest public launch is John Pollock Water Trail Park off Northwest Pollock Road in La Center. A new Lower Daybreak trailhead has also been recently constructed near the launch parking lot on the west side of Northeast Daybreak Road.
**Nearby Attractions:** The park's location provides easy access to the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge and Fort Vancouver National Historic Site, making it a good base for exploring the broader Columbia River region. Trail users should stay on marked trails to protect local wetland and habitat areas.
