About This Access Site
**Location & Access**
Dayton Landing is a 1.4-acre county park in Dayton, Yamhill County, located at the confluence of the Yamhill River and Palmer Creek, approximately five miles upstream from the Willamette River. The site features a small boat ramp and gravel parking lot, making it a modest but functional access point for kayakers, canoeists, and small boaters. The park was donated to Yamhill County in 1966 and includes a footbridge connecting Dayton Landing Park to the nearby Alderman Park across the river.

**Paddling Information**
The Yamhill River is navigable upstream from this location, offering paddlers access to scenic reaches through the Coast Ranges. This is a good put-in point for exploring the middle Yamhill River watershed. The site is suitable for both kayaks and canoes, and during summer months a private kayak rental business operates adjacent to the ramp, providing additional support services. Whether paddling upstream or downstream toward the Willamette River confluence, paddlers should be familiar with current water conditions and local flow levels before launching.
