About This Access Site
Deer Creek Reservoir offers boat launch access located approximately 11 miles north of Pierce, Idaho on State Highway 11—look for the Fish & Game access sign near historic Townsite 4 on Washington Creek Road. The Island Boat Ramp is the primary launch point and remains open year-round, though the access road gate closes seasonally from October 1 to May 20. This is a day-use-only facility with no camping allowed.

**Important Safety & Current Conditions:** Life jackets are required for all persons on vessels, including kayaks and stand-up paddleboards—coldwater boating conditions make this essential. Courtesy docks are pulled for winter, but wedge docks remain in place. Note that the Sailboat Beach Day-Use Area is closed through June 2026 for construction. If your boat is coming from out of state or Lake Powell, it must be inspected and decontaminated before launching. Check the official boat ramp conditions webpage and marine weather forecasts before heading out, as water and weather conditions can change rapidly.
