Deer Lake Access is located at 4051 W Deer Lake Road in Swiss Township on Deer Lake's west shore, approximately one mile north of Highway 77 (seven miles east of the Highway 35/77 intersection). The site features a concrete boat ramp with an attached dock, making it convenient for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorboats. Limited amenities include a picnic table and small parking area; note that private driveways adjoin the parking area, so plan accordingly during peak use times.
Deer Lake is a substantial 786-acre lake with a maximum depth of 46 feet, offering good water clarity and diverse fishing opportunities including Musky, Walleye, Northern Pike, Largemouth Bass, and Panfish. The lake is popular with both paddlers and anglers, with fishing activity typically beginning early in the morning. This is an excellent access point for day trips or longer paddling explorations on a medium-sized, relatively deep lake.
