Deer Lake

**Location & Facilities**
Deer Lake Access is located at 4051 W Deer Lake Road in Swiss Township, about seven miles east of the Highway 35/77 intersection on the west shore of Deer Lake. The site features a concrete boat ramp with dock access, making it convenient for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorboats. Limited parking is available, along with a picnic table. Note that this is a popular spot with early morning anglers, so plan accordingly if visiting during peak fishing hours.

**Lake Character**
Deer Lake is a 786-acre lake in Polk County with a maximum depth of 46 feet, offering a medium-sized paddling destination. The lake supports a healthy fishery including musky, walleye, northern pike, largemouth bass, and panfish, so expect to encounter other recreational users. The fully paved ramp provides reliable access in most conditions for both paddlers and power boaters.
