Deer Lake offers year-round public access via a Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) boat ramp located on the northeast corner of the lake. The facility features a gravel boat ramp and parking area, though boaters should be aware that the launch is relatively shallow, which may require extra caution when launching larger vessels or trailers. A single restroom is available on-site, though there are no ADA facilities or dedicated hand launch areas for kayakers and canoeists.
The lake supports a diverse fishery including largemouth and smallmouth bass, crappie, perch, rainbow trout, and lake trout, making it popular with anglers year-round. Paddlers and boaters can expect a scenic setting in Stevens County near the North Huckleberry Mountains region. Note that camping is not permitted at this access site, so plan accordingly for day-use visits.
