Derge County Park offers a well-maintained concrete boat ramp (approximately 20 feet wide) with convenient gravel parking, located on the west-central shore of Beaver Dam Lake just five minutes northwest of the City of Beaver Dam. This 13-acre county park provides excellent access to the 6,600-acre lake and is ideal for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters of all types. The ramp is one of several launch options around the lake.
Beyond the boat access, Derge County Park is a full-service recreation facility featuring 24 campsites with electric hookups, picnic shelters, over 500 feet of shoreline, a shower/restroom building, and a dump station—making it a great base for multi-day paddling trips or group outings. The lake is popular for fishing, sailing, and water sports. Nearby paddlers should also note the Horicon National Wildlife Refuge (over 33,000 acres), one of the largest freshwater marshes in the United States, located in the area and offering additional exploration opportunities.
