About This Access Site
Devils Lake is a scenic freshwater lake located near Lincoln City on the Oregon Coast, offering accessible paddling and boating opportunities for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The Cascade Head Picnic Area serves as a day-use facility with visitor information about the surrounding Cascade Head Scenic Research Area, though it does not have a boat launch. The lake is surrounded by beautiful coastal scenery and provides good access to nearby natural attractions including the Valley of the Giants and Siletz Bay National Wildlife Refuge.

**For launching your boat or paddling craft**, note that this picnic area does not have a boat ramp. The nearest public boat launches are located approximately 3 miles away: **East Devils Lake State Recreation Area to the south** or **Regatta Grounds to the north**. The most developed launch option is at **Grahams Island State Park**, which features a four-lane concrete ramp with five courtesy docks for easy access. Once on the water, the lake offers fishing docks and mooring areas, making it suitable for day trips and longer paddling excursions. Contact park staff for current conditions and any additional information about facilities or seasonal considerations.
