**Location & Access:** The Trumbull Lake boat ramp is located on the west side of the lake, mid-lake, accessible via 310th Street near Dickens in Clay County. From US Highway 18 between Spencer and Emmetsburg, turn north on County Highway N18 approximately ½ mile west of Ruthven. This access point serves the Dewey's Pasture-Smith's Slough-Trumbull Lake complex.
**Facilities & Conditions:** This is a one-lane concrete boat ramp with a dock and gravel parking area. The site offers no marina or boat rentals, but nearby amenities include campgrounds, RV hookups, lodging, convenience stores, bait and tackle shops, and restaurants. The complex is managed as a wetland area supporting diverse wading and shore bird populations, making it a scenic paddling destination for kayakers and canoeists.
**What to Expect:** Trumbull Lake and the surrounding Dewey's Pasture complex offer a shallow water environment ideal for paddlers seeking a wildlife-viewing experience. Plan accordingly for shallow-draft boats and be aware that the area is actively managed for wetland habitat restoration, which may affect water conditions and vegetation.
