About This Access Site
Diablo East is a well-maintained concrete boat ramp located on Amistad Reservoir near Del Rio, Texas. This is one of the primary launch points for accessing the expansive International Amistad Reservoir. The ramp features a four-lane concrete design (approximately 10 feet wide, extending to 15 feet depth) that accommodates boats of various sizes, making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and larger motorboats. The ramp is open year-round and located just off US-90 West, making it easily accessible.

To reach Diablo East from Del Rio, take US-90 West and turn right just before crossing Lake Amistad, then follow signs to the ramp on the east side of the campground area. The surrounding Amistad National Recreation Area offers a desert oasis setting with several nearby campground options within 10 miles, including Governors Landing, Rough Canyon, and Spur 406 Campgrounds. Lake use passes are required and can be purchased at visitor centers or fee machines at various access points. For current information on amenities, fees, and seasonal conditions, consult the National Park Service website for Amistad National Recreation Area.
