Diamond Lake in Orleans, Dickinson County, offers a well-developed boat ramp facility ideal for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters. The access point features a hard surface boat ramp and dedicated kayak launch, making it convenient for paddlers of all experience levels. The site includes a fishing dock and jetty for those interested in angling, along with ample support amenities including restrooms, picnic areas, and a fish cleaning station.
The park surrounding the access area provides excellent recreational opportunities beyond paddling. Diamond Lake Park features camping (available April 15 - October 20), hiking and biking trails, a playground, and multiple shelter houses. Three shower houses are available for campers and day-use visitors. The accessible shoreline and facilities accommodate paddlers with varying mobility needs, and the fishing jetty provides good to excellent shore fishing opportunities if you want to combine paddling with angling.
