Diaz Lake

Diaz Lake offers a boat ramp and access point for kayakers, canoeists, and small motorized watercraft. Located within the scenic Alabama Hills National Scenic Area, the lake provides a peaceful setting for paddling and fishing, surrounded by the dramatic granite formations of the Eastern Sierra.

The boat ramp is open to the public, though access requires an additional fee beyond the standard day-use or camping fees. Motorized boats are permitted on the lake from May 15th through November. Nearby Tuttle Creek Campground provides camping options within 10 miles. While the highway adjacent to the lake may contribute some background noise, the overall setting offers a serene and picturesque experience for those enjoying the water. An ADA-accessible fishing deck is situated near the boat launch, making the lake accessible for anglers of all abilities.
