Located near Villa Ridge in Franklin County off Highway 44, the Dr. Henry A. and Amalia Uhlemeyer Access provides convenient public access to the Bourbeuse River. This Missouri Department of Conservation site offers a developed boat ramp suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The access is positioned at river mile 49.9, making it a good midpoint launch for paddlers exploring this scenic waterway.
The Bourbeuse River is a year-round, paddleable stream that offers natural beauty and reliable water levels for most of the year (weather permitting). The public area is officially open 4:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily, though boat launching and landing are permitted 24 hours a day. This access point works well for day trips or as a starting point for longer float trips downstream toward Chouteau Claim Access (about 5 miles) or Union (about 9 miles upstream).
