Lud Drexler Park, managed by the BLM, offers a convenient boat ramp access point on the north end of Salmon Falls Creek Reservoir, a large high-desert water body located just south of Twin Falls, Idaho. The park features maintained road access and a developed boat ramp suitable for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorboats. A day-use pass is required to access the ramp and facilities; day passes are good only for the day purchased. The reservoir provides extensive shoreline for paddling and is popular for multiple water activities year-round, including boating, fishing, and water sports.
The park includes 20 developed campsites with amenities such as shade cabanas, fire rings, picnic tables, and vault toilets, making it suitable for overnight trips. In addition to the boat ramp, the park offers direct shore access and dispersed camping options. Be aware that road conditions may deteriorate during wet weather. The reservoir is well-known for fishing opportunities targeting trout, smallmouth bass, yellow perch, and walleye, so expect moderate recreational use, especially during peak seasons. Remember to recreate responsibly on these public lands.
