About This Access Site
Durham Drive provides public boat access to Big Muskego Lake and Bass Bay on the northern shore of the lake in Muskego. This nine-acre municipal site, completed in 1998, offers a dedicated boat ramp for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorboats. The facility includes parking (paid options available) and seasonal restroom facilities. Note that no power loading is permitted at the ramp, and boats cannot be moored to docks or shoreline without prior approval from the Parks and Conservation Committee.

Big Muskego Lake is a 2,194-acre water body with a maximum depth of 23 feet, making it suitable for various paddling activities. The lake supports panfish, largemouth bass, and northern pike, attracting both recreational paddlers and anglers. The northern shore access at Durham Drive is a convenient launch point for exploring Bass Bay and the broader lake system. Contact the City of Muskego Parks and Recreation Department for current information on parking fees, seasonal hours, and any specific launch restrictions.
